Poppies - watercolour effect

This card was my entry for our local horticultural show, and was awarded Second place.

The watercolour effect was achieved by spritzing a Clarity Stamp with water, then colouring in the stamp ,directly on the stamp surface, with 2 shades of red and 2 shades of green, spritz with water again before stamping on to watercolour paper.

You can usually get a couple of prints, and it's worth experimenting with how much water/colour you use, depending on the stamp being used.  Stamps with solid areas work best, have a play, it's a great way of getting different tones within your stamping!

The dragonfly is another Clarity stamp, stamped on to vellum, cut out and added to the card with the wings lifted.  I also submitted this one for the Clarity Stamp Challenge Blog - insects theme.
